Leg 1|Queenstown to wanaka
Up and over the Crown Range, with a stop at Lake Hayes for the reflections and two lookouts that stare right back over Queenstown. Grab lunch at the little Cardrona pub, then it’s sheep, green paddocks and snowy peaks all the way into Wānaka.
Leg 2 | Wānaka to Franz Josef
A big day over Haast Pass, but every stop earns its spot: Blue Pools, Thunder Creek Falls, Knights Point and Bruce Bay. Finish with Lake Matheson before rolling into Franz Josef with the glaciers on the doorstep.
